Skiing on the Oetztal Glacier
Extensive skiing fun
It is one of the resorts in Austria with the highest levels of guaranteed snow and is located just a few minutes from the centre of Soelden: the Rettenbach Glacier. Together with the Tiefenbach Glacier, it forms one of the biggest glacier skiing resorts in Austria.
October is the time to don your carving skis and snowboards and May is the time to put them pack in the cellar. The season lasts eight months at the Oetztal Glacier – plenty of time to explore this multi-faceted ski resort.
Skiing at over 3,000m above sea level
10 modern lifts ensure that your wait is minimal and you can enjoy the 37 km of slopes on the Rettenbach Glacier to the full. The slopes are steeper and more challenging than those on the Tiefenbach Glacier. As a result, you will find the hardcore skiers and well-trained skiers here on the Oetztal Glacier.
Comfort on the glacier
You can enjoy every conceivable comfort here, despite being up in the mountains. The self-service restaurant on the Rettenbach Glacier serves Tyrolean treats as well as international cuisine. Our sports store on the glacier also provides ski rentals. Equipment can be handed back or exchanged at any of the other Sport Riml shops.
Connections
The Tiefenbach Glacier is accessible via a ski tunnel. With its flat broad slopes, it is ideal for beginners and advanced skiers alike. A restaurant and our Tiefenbach sports shop also await you here!
